What is BSFL?

BSFL stands for black Soldier fly larvae, the larval stage of the Hermetia Illucens fly. A widely spread fly of the stratiomyidae family. They are not a pest and have amazing qualities. They are odorless, harmless and have the capacity to break down all the bacteria they found in their food.

What are the main ingredients in Forager’s feed treats?

All we put into our treats are natural ingredients and the best and tastiest options for pets. Our treats contain U.S. grown Black Soldier Fly Larvae and are combined with fruits and vegetables like pumpkin, blueberries, goji berries and bananas. One of our treats also comes with delightful peanut butter.

How do I store these treats?

Store in a cool, dry space for up to 12 months; No refrigeration needed.

Why is the BSFL so beneficial?

Black Soldier fly larvae are packed with nutrients and energy. They are a clean source of food. They eat and reproduce at high rates giving way to a fast and efficient way to generate food. They are really good for the environment as farming them requires less resources that the resources required to feed animals raised for other animal or human consumption
